Diligent and conscientious Dealing & Registration Administrator sought to work in a professional office environment at an investment management company, delivering high quality work against tight timescales.  Data entry required and competent use of a variety of systems in order to process client instructions into a range of investment funds.  Initiative required in checking for mistakes and communicating effectively with other team members and management, to avoid costly errors.

 

Key aspects are as follows:

  • The ability to work in a fast-paced office environment, delivering high quality work against tight timescales.
  • Updating and competent use of the various Margetts databases and systems.
  • Processing and authorising deal instructions to buy, sell and transfer units/shares in the Margetts funds received by fax, post or telephone.
  • Placing and confirming portfolio investment trades and liaising with other departments where appropriate.
  • Identifying potential issues though analysis of client/agent instructions and liaising with other departments where appropriate.
  • Management of electronic dealing systems.
  • Updating the register with updates to client or adviser records, including scheduling monthly investment activity (Regular Investment/Withdrawal runs, Adviser Charges).
  • Understanding regulatory requirements affecting the role specifically and financial services in general.
  • Allocation of work through scanning and categorisation of mail items into Workflow systems
  • Flexibility in the role to cover other general office duties as required.

NAV Construction Team Leader

The NAV Construction Department is responsible for the timely and accurate calculation and publication of daily Net Asset Values and Prices for a range of UK regulated Collective Investment Schemes. The Team Leader has day to day responsibility for monitoring and organising team workloads and assisting with the training and development needs of the team.

 

NAV Construction briefly consists of:

  • Processing and monitoring security and FX trades to maintain a register of all underlying investments.
  • Collecting and scrubbing market/fair prices for all underlying investments and exchange rates
  • Processing cash transactions including client subscriptions/ redemptions, dividends, expenses, interest.
  • Dilution and fair value adjustments.
  • Sign off and delivery to third parties.

 

The Team Leader role involves:

  • The ability to work in a fast-paced office environment, delivering high quality work against tight timescales.
  • Maintenance and oversight of records in various databases and systems.
  • Monitoring and organising team workloads.
  • First escalation point for team members.
  • Line management of team members.
  • Working with the manager to identify and implement ongoing improvements to processes, as well as team training plans.

 

The successful candidate is likely to possess:

  • Experience delivering high quality work in a financial function.
  • Familiarity with investment securities and their characteristics.
  • Effective verbal and written communication and an ability to communicate technical concepts clearly.
  • An ability to manage tasks with competing priorities and a range of time horizons.
  • Working knowledge of excel.

 

The following are also desirable:

  • IOC, AAT, IMC, or other relevant qualifications.
  • Line management experience
  • SQL Database querying

We currently have an opportunity for a “Customer Services Agent” with some reception responsibility.

 

About the Customer Services role:

You will be first point of contact for the company over the telephone, email and post.

You will coordinate front-desk activities, including distributing correspondence and redirecting telephone calls.

Day to day processing of customer contact, internal referrals and offering administrative support across the organisation.

Duties will include (but not exhaustive):

  • Responding to queries via email, post, telephone and processing all aspects of client administration
  • Implementing Anti-Money laundering requirements as part of all customer due diligence, and internal and external fraud controls
  • General up keep of the reception area & post room, updating calendars and scheduling meetings
  • Liaising with all areas of the business including Sales Managers and Operations to ensure the Customer Journey runs efficiently.

About You:

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Financial Services Experience desired
  • Professional attitude and appearance
  • Computer literate including Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Highly organised with efficient time management and the ability to prioritise workload
  • Flexible and willingness to learn
